In-kind Donations.

We welcome your contributions of goods and services! These could include computers (ours is a Macintosh workplace) and other pieces of office equipment, as well as administrative, business, legal, tax expertise or even web design. We also need some musical equipment, such as some really cool foldable music stands, so that our professional ensemble, the Cayambis Sinfonietta, will be completely self-sufficient once it can get out into the schools to perform.

Please feel free to contact us about the specific needs that you would like to address.

Employer Match.

Some companies are able to match contributions by their employees, retirees and/or spouses to charitable organizations. If this is the case, then you have a wonderful tool at hand whereby the power of your gift can be increased or even doubled. Generally speaking, all that is necessary is to submit a form to the department in your company that manages matching gifts.

Please consider this as a way to help our idea grow even faster.

Volunteer.

Every nonprofit depends on its volunteers to make things happen! In fact, according to the National Council of Nonprofits, there are charities that are run entirely by volunteers. Although we don’t see our own nonprofit in that category, we could still keep a small group of volunteers busy carrying out a lot of important tasks. And did you know that you can volunteer virtually?

Would you like to be an agent for positive change in the Americas? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to help guide a world-changing organization just as it’s beginning to rapidly grow? How about the excitement of affirmatively impacting the lives of tens of thousands of people?

We envision a future in which the classical music of Latin America has contributed to the strengthening of inter-American relations within this hemisphere. This idea is not new: during the mid-20th century, our hemispheric relations were enhanced by learning about and performing the music of the Americas. Some have referred to this as musical Pan-Americanism, but by whatever name, we believe that this is an idea that is worth reviving and re-imagining.

We are looking for someone who is bold and boundary-pushing, and who is excited by the opportunity to put into action a challenging, yet ambitious plan.

We’d be thrilled to talk with you about our goals and objectives, but in the meantime, we invite you to review a pair of documents from our board handbook: a one-page overview of our organization, and a synopsis of the essential characteristics of a CILASiM board member.
